I am selling a tan bimini top with a stainless steel frame from my 2001 23 SE. The top was purchased by a previous owner of my boat from Canvas Creations in Annapolis, MD (www.canvascreationsinc.com). The guy who owned the boat before me installed a T-top and put the bimini top in his shed until passing it on to me when I purchased the boat. The canvas appears to be Sunbrella, which is what the Canvas Creations website claims they use. The frame is in excellent condition. The canvas is clean and beads, but has several holes ranging from a pin head to a nail head (see pics below). The canvas is zippered on, so it should be easy to remove and repair or use as a jig for new canvas if needed.

Also included are a cover for storing and transporting the top and the tracks and hardware that mount to the gunwales. I would think this bimini top will fit most 8’ 6” wide boats. I do not have pics of the bimini top on my boat as it has had a T-top since I’ve owned it.

I live in Raleigh, NC and I am asking $200. Please, send a PM or reply to this post if interested.

Any chance of shipping it to the Seattle area if I pay the cost of shipping? Let me know. Chris

Chris,

I’d like to sell the top locally, but I am open to the idea of shipping it. However, I do see a few issues. The top weighs 41 pounds and the frame does not come apart. I can remove the canvas and put it in a box with the hardware, but I still have the 7’ 6” wide by 6’ 3” tall stainless steel frame to deal with and I’d guess it weighs over 30 pounds once the canvas and straps are removed. I don’t know how I’d package that up. I can bring it to the UPS Store, but I guarantee it would be expensive. I also can not guarantee it won’t get damaged, so I would want you to pay for the insurance, so neither of us are screwed and there is no argument about who should pay for damages. If you’re truly serious I can get a quote, but if I ship it I would either need to be paid before I ship it or use PayPal and have the money in the PayPal escrow before shipping it.

Let me know if you’re serious about having it shipped and if you’re OK with my terms and I’ll try to get a quote, but it may not be until the weekend and no offense, but if someone shows up with cash I’m going to take the easy route.

Gary

Edit dimensions 7/13/2010. Width is approximately 7' 6" (boat is 8' 6").

You are probably right, may be a hastle. I will check around locally for a new one. Thanks, Chris

Chris, I'm sorry it didn't work out, but I appreciate you realizing before I dragged the top around to get a quote. Good luck in your search.
