Looking at a JB cape fisherman w/ year 2000, DT Suzuki 200 hp engine.
Foot had a 3 inch crack that was repaired with weld, my reading on the internet it seems cracks are not rare on Suzuki's in late 1990s or so, due to corrosion or possibly water that failed to drain from foot, that subsequently froze.
I don't see many Parkers with Suks, but figure someone on this forum might know about this issue.
How can I determine whether this is a suitable long-term fix?
