I have a 2002 Yamaha SX250, 30" shaft for sale. New factory powerhead last year, lower unit was rebuilt 1 year ago. Original motor had 1125 hours when it threw a rod (head gasket leaked saltwater into one cylinder and ruined the rod bearings) and was replaced by Yamaha. That was 6 months or so ago and I have put 150 hours and counting on it since then. The motor runs just like a new one (it is a new one), the original warranty ran out this month. I am repowering with a Suzuki 300. I am asking $6000, prop, controls and gauges included.

This is a good motor and is still being run until next monday. I will sell it with or without gauges and controls. I need better economy and could use more power, that is why I am going to the Suzuki df300.

If my 225 OX66 wasn't running so well, I would absolutely consider this one!
The OX66 series was one of the best that Yamaha ever made.

Please document the 300 Zuke upgrade for us.
A lot of folks I know are considering that motor. 8)

I will make an effort to document the upgrade. I am not really into that sort of thing but I will try. I think the new motor will be a good investment. I run a lot of miles to fish and the savings on gas and Yamalube will pay for the upgrade.
