Bought my first Parker in the fall. Found a left over 2510 XLD. Got lot's of great advice from some of you. Looking fo what a lot of you do for tackle storage on these boats. I cant beleive that they have no storage. Was thinking of having a cabinet made with drawers and plastic boxes as well. Touught I could mount it on the Starboard side in the cabin. I know some where out there some body has something realy cool

i have a 2001 2310 tackle storage is limited. made box (cab ) out of fairly light wood and than fiblerglassed it. boat is down at buzz's so can't measure it. has 2 shelf spaces plus top storage , made to fit plano boxes 2 boxes long one plus wide, has curb board about 2" to keep stuff from sliding out. i keep all the stuff to rig, cutters, glasses hooks etc. that i use alot of. bolted port side as you go into cuddy thru wall just in front of port hole and thru wall port side of door down from ceiling far enough for storage also. i love it. painted to match inside of boat looks good enough to be factory. tinmantoo bel air md.

You should look at Fin-Addict Marine (www.finaddictmarine.com). Brown, the owner, has some great “off-the-shelf” stuff and does incredible custom work, plus he’ll match the Parker color.

I started a thread at http://www.classicparker.com/phpBB2/vie ... =finaddict showing several projects I did, which includes one of Brown’s tackle boxes. After that a few people posted pics of some custom work Brown has done for them in the thread, so you can get a bit of an idea of what he can do. Right now Brown is making me the cup/knife/pliers holder that RyanC2 has and he’s been great to work with making sure everything fits just right.

I have the 2510 and also wanted more tackle storage. Here is a simple cabinet I built to hold 6 of the 14" wide Plano boxes. My cabinet has a tray on the top to hold misc items. I also built a shelf in the cabin to hold trolling rods. It just fits 4 of the 6'6" rods.

Frank... Love that storage for the Plano boxes.
Very sanitary... 8)

Tim, the shelf in the V-berth is just some scrap plywood and pine... nothing fancy. It is about 18" wide and made to fit the shape of the boat . I started with a piece of hardboard about 8' long and kept trimming it so it would slide into the space. Then I used it as a template for my shelf. I attached a 3" strip of pine to the front of the plywood and shaped the ends to fit under the cap. (Sorry, I don't know the proper terms). The bow-end of the shelf got a wider piece of pine that I used to screw the unit to the "wall" that leads to the anchor locker. Painted with Benj More Navajo White, it matches the interior pretty well. I mounted rod racks under and they hold 6'6" rods.

Wow, looked like starboard to me, that's a darn good job!
