Just wondering if you Parker guys have seem this on yours... Looks like water in the Gas tank holds....? I pulled a transom mount transducer off that had 3 screw that went though the hull..... When removed about 1-2 gallons of water drained out of that side......

Only a few ways for water to get in there.... access covers or maybe leaking though something in the stern....? Like the after market trim tabs the former owner installed???? Actually the swim platform mounts dont look that tight either......?

Noticed a lot of moisture around the gas tank on that side??????

ANY ADVISE ON THIS ? >>> Appreciate it!!

I don't understand - was the water coming out the holes as in out of the hull (yikes!!!!) or from inside the boat?

don't have an inboard so i am not familiar with how your set up allows water to drain to the bilge.

if you can see the bilge area and there is no standing water, and you have water weeping out screw holes in the transom, then it sounds like your transom core material is wet........so to answer your question....no it is not a good one.

if your transducer is not a transom mount but rather goes thru the bottom of the hull, then the hull material in that area is solid glass and likely there is just a minor drainage issue which can be found and corrected.

either way let us know how it works out.

Those are closed areas on the inboards.... the gas tank holds are not part of the bilge on this 2520 DCSC...... Just seems messy to me to get water out and dry out that area..... May even put a small drain plug on the transom...... Going to call Parker?

Thanks guys.....

Sounds to me, from what you described, that whomever drilled the holes for that transom-mounted xducer caused the problem. I myself, for xducers, REFUSE to drill a hole in the hull, so I epoxy a mahogany block to the hull in the area, then wet it out with epoxy. Works slick!

How old a boat? It's not uncommon nor unheard of older boats having 'wet' transoms. Also note, that if closed bilge areas, frb boats do sweat from condensation. See my posts on venting the bilge, search on 'bilge' and 'vent' terms.

Please let us know how you make out or resolve it!
