I finally had a day with decent weather to make my first try for togs on my boat, a 21SE on near shore wrecks. We were fishing out of Rudee Inlet in VA Beach, VA. Wrecks are about 32 miles out. The ride out was better than expected and then much calmer when we got out there. We paid for the good fishing conditions on the way back in with 20 plus knot winds out of the south. Boat did great just a very wet ride, no top so no curtains. Wrecks are in about 100 feet of water. Bait was clam and blue crabs. We caught 26 total fish and kept our limit of 6, 3 per person. We had 4 weight ciations for VA up to 10.5 pounds, one kept fish was 2 ounces short of weight citation which is 9 pounds in VA. I tagged and released another 15 fish up to 20.5 inches and we had some fish that did not get tagged due to the fishing being to good to stop and tag fish.

The Suzuki seems to work fine. I get 2.75 mpg in good conditions keeping it 4200-4400. IfI I push it fuel mileage goes off the cliff.

Nice job Wes. I've been reluctant to plan a trip to those wrecks because I was thinking my 2120 was a bit too small. I didn't realize you also had a 21 footer and it is an open bow to boot. I guess I have enough boat I just don't have enough ....

Ok, now you have me motivated. Thanks for posting.
