Hey everyone,

I thought I’d share some additions to my Parker 2120 trailer. Some of the small issues I have found when trying to load and unload the boat alone have been resolved.

Major issue #1- When the wind was kicking it was difficult to keep the back end of the boat straight and on the trailer. This was resolved by adding trailer guide posts. Money well spent!

Issue #2 - After the boat was on the trailer, I would have to climb over the front rail, touch a foot on the trailer winch and lower myself down to the trailer I beam, then swing around and hook up the boat, pull her in and then I would remember I forgot to put the motor up, causing me to have to climb back up raise the motor and repeat the climb in both directions. To resolve this issue I had some custom aluminum steps built and attached them to the trailer. Now I just walk up and down with ease.

Issue #3 – On occasion I would have to put on my water shoes, (which eventually became some OTB boot with quick drains on the soles which are great on a sunny day but still take time to dry.) because my truck was one to two feet in the water when backing the trailer in. Sure what’s a little water, except I put in near drainage overfill so when it rains that brown stuff sticking to the side of my boat isn’t mud? Yes I can and have been Climbing over my truck and lowering myself like an trapeze artist onto the trailer but my new solution is a custom made aluminum ramp that is permanently attached to the trailer hitch. The ramp just unfolds and I can walk out with ease.

Here are some pictures:

 wow haven't seen that before
Looks like it would work great!
Especially if you have no docks at the ramp you use.

That's pretty slick..a ladder is not good enough for you eh???

On the ramp, maybe you can add a pivot so it will swing back towards the boat and you can have own personal dock, haha..
