Has anyone turned the transom bait well (with bracket) into a live well? The Bait well on my 2320 is rather deep, compared to my cousins 2003 2530. I am contemplating whether to turn that into a live well or not. it already has the drain plumbed to it so it would be a matter of hooking the salt water wash down pump to it or even just filling it with the hose from the wash down pump. Its right about the size where it could work or not work, have a feeling the bait would get caught in the corner of the tank and die because it is not wide enough. If anyone has done this any feed back on how it worked out would be great. Thanks!

Here are a few pics of the bait well that i am talking about, i know its kind of hard to get an idea of its exact depth and width just by looking through the pictures.

Maybe you could add a baffle to each corner to "round" the corners and then add a diverter to the water inlet so that the water turns in a circular direction. Personally, I don't have much faith that tank would work too well. Where you have the 23-footer with ample power, use the search featuer and check out the many DIY livewells made from 30-50-gallon poly barrels. I would think one mounted in the cockpit (portable) or affixed to the transom bracket would be ideal.

I did it to my 05 parker 2320. I use it for large fish not for bait. It works get ! I mounted a 25 gall. live well on to my swimplatform. I tryed to load pictures but file was to big. You can e-mail me for Pict.
