Transom height??? 1988 1801

Transom height??? Can anyone tell me what the transom height is on a 1988 1801? I have a chance to pick up one at a screaming deal, but it needs to be re-powered. 20" or 25" shaft?

I doubt that it's a 25. Most likely a 20.
Give the factory a call to verify.

Could be either 20" or 25", we did both. You can measure from the top lip, on center line, down to the bottom of the transom below the drain plug.
