trim tabs 21 se

I was thinking of installing Bennett Trim Tabs on my 2000 21' se. I was wondering what size tabs are you guys running, and what are the advantages that you have noticed? I keep reading on the internet that they are a must for the 21'se with the 14 degree DR.

I have large 12 x 18, but most have 12 x 12 or 9 x 12. The bigger the less tab is needed. It is all about surface area. And yes, a 21se needs tabs to smooth out the ride.

I just went out and measured mine, they are 12X12 and they work great.Tabs are a much needed item on a 21SE and while I'm very satisfied with mine if I was doing a fresh install I would put on larger tabs like the poster above.

12 x 12 is good, 18 x 12 is great! As windknotnc correctly points out, the larger Trim Tab will generate the same lift when deflected to a smaller angle as a smaller one deflected to a greater angle. This makes for a much better lift to drag ratio.

I installed 12X12 lenco tabs on my 21SE. I wish I installed the next size larger! What I did to increase lift was to add on Bennett vertical plates bolted to the edges of the Lenco tabs. It really helped out the performance of the system.
