I have a pro-series & pro-fish windlass on my 2520. The gypsy won't engage to pull up the rode. The unit has power and spins but the gypsy won't engage. Is this simply a need to adjust the plunger? The manual is not very specific about either operation or trouble shooting.

Thanks for any input.

Is the whole gypsy spinning? There should be a spring loaded plunger on top of the outer hub that sticks out about 1 inch that contacts a ramp underneath. When it makes contact the outer hub stops spinning and the hub starts moving inward making contact with the rode creating friction and pulling in the rode. Thats the way my 700 Profish Freefall works. If you hold the "down button" too long on deploying the anchor the gap gets wider taking longer to contract and pinch the rode. (Make sure the plunger is not stuck in, it must contact that ramp) to stop the outer hub from spinning.
