I was thinking of making a set of detachable, transom mounted bonito tubes for my 1801. My idea was to hook the RW hose to the tubes and be happy. Anyone have any experience with tubes or this type of set-up?

Thanks,

Here's my tuna tubes made from 6" pvc mounted in the splashwell of my 23'. They work great for small tuna's like bonito and bluefish. Most raw water washdown pumps are for intermittant use only so I would not use it unless it was an emergency. I use a livewell pump with a T fitting off the raw water pickup. What are you fishing for with the bonito, blue marlin??? That would be a nice pic to see--a grander marlin with a 18' Parker.

Nice set-up. Does the overflow to the transom well work OK? I was thinking transom mount and removeable.

I would be using these in Baja for YF tuna and billfish.
