1. I'm keeping my Parker in the water ( covered slip ). I've always trailer by previous boats and wanted to know what special precautions I needed to take with is sitting in the water for long periods of time? I'm in eastern NC.

2. I need some cup holders...My 2300 DV doesn't have a single holder. I'd appreciate some ideas on the least evasive options to remedy this situation. MY fear is that I'll be forced to drink too fast because I don't have anywhere to sit it!

Thanks for your help. This is a great site.

1. You need to paint the bottom, make sure your zincs are good.

2. Seasucker, google it. 8)

1. Parker in the Water (Covered Clip)
-Drain plug  is #1!
-Bottom paint
-Proper zincs on OB if they can’t raise fully out of the water
-Fenders or fender whips and/or ropes properly adjusted to protect hull during winds, waves, high tides [make sure it can’t be trapped under the dock], etc.
-Operational bilge pump(s)
-Keep scuppers clear
-Close all seacocks to any underwater thru-hull

…. What did I miss :?: ?

2. Cup Holders ...
Do a search on both terms ‘cup holders’ and you’ll be reading for a while, plus looking at pictures.

That covers it pretty well!

The items highlighted in bold above are (IMHO) critical.
More boats sink at the dock for those two errors than any other.
I have discovered boats sunk in my marina for exactly those two items, and I found them before the marina owner knew anything about it.

holy high prices on the sea sucker site huh?? Those are some expensive cup holders

I purchased inexpensive plastic cup holders. Use good quality double sided tape(3-M) to the underside of the cup holders and affix to desired locations on flat dash surface. This has worked way better than I originally planned. It was a quick temporary fix that has lasted for 6 years. Cheap and easy. No drilling or cutting. If you want to add more you can, and vise versa. I have 5 affixed to my dash. They also work great to hold nick nacks, and to keep other objects from sliding off of the dash when under way. Sam J.

How about this beer holder? (cup holder)
And you won't have to drill any holes in your boat!!

[DH edit due to complaints ...] Use your imagination, a pretty woman, large chest, holding a beer with no hands :) ...

Sorry :( ... no "bilge" area on this website.

I like that "style" cup holder. My wife, on the otherhand, might not....I'll ask her and let you know what she says!

That made my morning,

Thanks
