Hello,
If I swap to a iridium plug from a standard plug, is there anything I should be concerned about? Has anyone seen a suggnificant change in performance by making a switch? The engine is a 150 hpdi.

Honestly, I have never noticed a difference in changing type of plug. A mechanic once told me fire is fire. As long as it is the correct temp and gap a tuned engine will run. What is your reasoning for going to an iridium plug?

Well I went with the BKR6ES11 as stated on the placard that is on the cowling. Got them for $1.89 each and the motor runs great. No need to spend the extra cash.

Iridium plugs last longer than copper.

They also cost 10x more.
Stick with that the MFR recommends... cheap copper plugs. Change them every season or two, and you'll have no problems. Plugs don't increase performance. At worst, the iridium plugs could actually hurt performance, as the platinum plugs do in many applications.
