Water in bilge of 2520XL

I have a 2520XL that has a windlass installed. The anchor line locker door in the deck just behind the windlass has a cutout that the line goes through to get into the line locker when you do not have a windlass. I believe that during rain water runs down through this cutout into the line locker and works its way through the bilge to the aft portion of the bilge. I would like to stop this from happening. Does anyone have a suggestion as how to plug the cutout to keep water from going into the locker?

there is a member her who made a plug I think out of teak wood which is removable,I'm sure they will answer your question and maybe send you a picture,do a search on this site and you may find what they did,I'm sure I saw it in here,don't know back when but I did see it.

I put gorilla tape over mine to keep the water out, look horrible but works for now, also every time your retrieve your anchor, all that salt water goes down there as well, and splashes all over everything I try to keep clean and dry, have heard of someone plugging the hole and making and overboard drain, but yet to figure a way to do it on my own !

I just filled the drain hole in the bottom of the anchor locker and put in an overboard drain. It was a quick and cheap fix. Now the bilge is bone dry and I can rinse off the anchor line while it is in the well. (I also installed an inspection plate on the bow above the anchor well in case I get a tangle underneath the windlass.....allowing me to rinse the line)

Megabyte, I will try to figure the posting of pictures out. I would love to post some pictures of what I have done to the boat. I will need to get my 12 year old daughter to help me figure it out.
