I know we have visited this topic before, but seeing all of these posts of beautifully waxed boats hitting the water makes it harder to swallow. The same as most of you, I spend as much time cleaning as I do boating. I have found that ON/OFF is the best product for removing these stains. I have problems keeping them off. What should I be using. The stains are not awful, just enough to drive you crazy.

I find that a lot of people think because they have waxed their boat then that is all they have to do. I have seen it at marina's many times. I have a man that I financed his small part time business buffing, waxing and giving boats a real clean. The first thing he does is to buff the boat out with Presta Cutting Cream to take all the oxidation out of the Gelcoat. A lot of people think that just putting a coat of wax every year will keep their boat pristine. The first thing you have to do is get the oxidation out of the picture and then wax it with a good strong wax like Fleet Collinite. If you do these steps you will find that the water marks and salt will rinse clean much faster and easier. If this is done properly you have a much better chance of keeping it clean. I went out in my boat today and when I returned I just rinsed the boat and it looks like I just put it in. Don't get me wrong this does not alway's work but it gives you a good foundation to start with. Check the shine on the side of my boat, no water marks here! Good Luck!
