Welcome to ClassicParker and the ParkerNation and your on-line Parker Owner's Manual.

XLD ... nice hull. How does she ride? What power on her, and what kind of gph do you get at the "sweet spot" in the cruise rpm?

I'm partner with ManCave in this sweet new adventure. Picked her up on Gulf Coast and had her towed to West Coast.

2520 - 1998 xld w/ twin Yamaha 2002 200hp HPDIs - 180 hrs.
Engines are reported to run 'good' - but they had no service records. So we booked her w/ a top notch mechanic (does much work for us & and can be trusted with an open invitation) that will compression test, diagnose and do all fluids, filters, impellers, lube points, etc.

We'll get back with MPH,MPG,GPH, RPM, etc. after a proper re-naming and launch.

Have some deck delam issues that are also being corrected, and filling lots of weird installs and aftermath of a drill happy former owner.

Picture is after good scrubbing for a formerly homeless 2520.

I have a couple of questions that have likely been answered, but I can't search them out:

Question 1 - Current 2002 Yamaha guages are NEMA 0183. One of the guages doesn't work. To replace, IF we had a set of NEMA 2000 guages to install, would they retrofit to the 2002 engines and provide the connectivity/functionality (w/ required cable) to take advantage fo the New Garmin systems (4210) Engine Dash display?

Question 2 - We will be removing the transom mount transducer and installing a thru hull. I notice most installs for the xducer are on EITHER SIDE of the keel. They involve tilted elements that accomodate the 21 deg. deadrise angle of the bottom. Why not drill staight down thru the flat keel and set the ducer flat - and save $100 on tilt element?
