Ok, I need swivel rod holders for my Parker 2520. The boat currently has 4 "Parker" gunnel rod holders that I think are about 15 degrees. My plan is to remove the 2 near the stern and relocate them midship. In there place, I want to install swivel ones for tuna & shark (total of 6). Seeing that the swivels will be the closest to the stern, they have to serve many functions. I will troll from those, chunk bait from those, even flounder fish. What degree holder should I get ? My "big gear" includes 80 and 130 class with bent butt and also many 50 class with straight butt. Thanks for the help !!!

Your current rod holders are 30 degree.

For the 130 gear you need either a 15 or a zero. The straight butt stuff wont work in the swivels unless you lock down the nut on the bottom.

Are you going to be trolling the 130's??

I mounted 0-degree straight swivels, as I use bent butt rods for the chunking/live bait/kite fishing ...
