Wiper question

I'm trying to replace my wiper(port side) on my 2120 SC. I took the little screw -that is on the side- out and I tried removing the wiper. It won't budge! What am I doing wrong?

is it visibly corroded? mine was, and i ended up having to break/cut it off :? of course, my motor was shot too, so it wasnt to big a deal. but you might have a similar problem. try PB Blaster and a crowbar/4X4 block?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it is cooroded a little. I'll try some PB Blaster/crowbar/block. All this because the little plastic piece in the arm where the two arms connect broke. All I need is those plastic pieces and it would be fine but was told I have to buy the whole arm.

before you go busting it off, is there any way you can buy the new arm assembly and just cannibalize the pieces you need? i only say this because i'd be worried about damaging the motor arm in the process, like i said, mine was shot anyway. but if all thats wrong with it is the plastic, i might try to swap them out first. ust a suggestion, if all else fails, reinstall the plastic parts on th new arm, and break away.

You have a good point there. I'll try that first. You may have saved me breaking something....
