Hi all,
I posted a question about a popping/banging sound in the cabin of my 2520 XL MV diesel, (1994) a while back. I have only gone out once since then. Had to replace the out-drive and a few other things.
Well, the thunk is still there. It is coming from the area right about where the shift/throttle mechanism is mounted. You hear it when you go over chop or waves. You also hear it if you walk along the walkway (outside the cabin) in the same area. So it is definitely related to movement right there.
I have wood siding in the cabin next to the helm seat and on the opposite side. Was this a Parker original or something the PO added?
Does anybody know how it is attached to the fiberglass? I think it may be the source of my thunk.
Thanks in advance.
I'll add a picture of the boat but I don't have one of inside right now.
Well, I was going to but it was too big. If somebody wanted to remind me how to make it smaller I would post it.
I am also planning on putting lots of progress pictures up, soon.
Peter
