Hello,
I recently purchased a 2007 2120SC with a 2007 Yamaha F150, with a production date of 02/06. I have read up on the balancer and its replacement, and have a question.
I do not know if the balancer has been replaced, however I will say that the color of the balancer housing is just slightly lighter than the color of everything else in the motor. It's noticeable. I have seen online that the replacement part number is 63P-11500-03-00.
Is there any way from looking at the outside of the balancer, to see if it is either the replacement part, or if it shipped from Yamaha with the newer, non self destructing balancer? Is there an external part number, or some digits I could cross reference?
The color difference caught my attention, but that is not necessarily indicative of anything other than my own OCD.
Service records for the motor do not show replacement, FWIW.
