photo on right is left (port) 200 hp Yamaha lower unit, on a 2501 with twins. Here the tab anode toes out (larger outer curved surface faces boat centerline). Port has counter rotating prop, ccw. Anode is labeled “L”. Same toe out on the right, starboard, engine, anode labeled “R”.

Without knowing better, was going to line up with first notch, again towards centerline on both.

Previous boat was a cat, Glacier Bay, which had just the opposite, toed in both tabs.

Second year owning Parker, first year zincs had no tabs. Didn’t notice significant pulling either direction, though did need do small corrections. The Glacier Bay tracked straight like on rails.

Leave them neutral. They aren't needed on a twin engine setup. When mine started to wear out I cut the tabs off flush with the anti-cavitation plate. The important thing is the little scoop on the leading edge. It pulls water up to cool the lower unit. The more parallel to water flow it is, the better.
