Good to see the Sunforce are still working especially since they are significantly less than the Nicro. Like you, would like to avoid having to replace my tank in the future and keep the bilge dry. I am assembling the supplies to do this project.
I had a question on the PVC you used - what size reducer is the PVC? 4.5 inches on the Sunforce end but how large is the end that fits into the pie plate? I am assuming it is a piece to purchase at Lowes or HD.

This project started with replacing 2 deck plates and looking at solar fans esp the Nico used by Bryan2530 and checked Amazon since now I have 2 spare plates.
The Sunforce fans were less expensive and one year warranty and easy to return if failed and return back to them. the original idea was having the fan glued to reducer (Home Depot.. just bought it without measuring .. eye balled it) and let it slid into deck plate which makes it easy to remove and replace if needed. I didnt like the mock up bc it hit tank hoses and the fan didnt drop enough to hold the fan steady inside the plate. Plan B add 4000UV to the reducer and fan. I bought a second fan at the same. When I make the second one, cut the plate hole smaller than pipe ID and use straight PVC pipe instead of a reducer then glue together.
