    Jenson Radio - battery drain

Has anyone rewired the newer Jenson radios Parker installs so the little red light doesn’t come on when battery switch is in the ON position. Is this something that can be accomplished up at the helm station ? Seems like every time I drop off boat to get it serviced they leave the battery switch...

Can't fill fuel tank on 2015 2520 XLD

The carbon canister does not effect capacity of tank. It’s there to absorb vapor emissions. Capacity of tank it reduced by a valve in the vent system inside the tank. It forces the tank to stop venting, so you can’t put more gas in. They do this to allow room for expansion. For example. My 2320...

Can't fill fuel tank on 2015 2520 XLD

The Tanks come standard with a welded on 5/8 outlet for the vent hose. Submitted for warrant repair and determined the diameter of the vent hole inside tank must have been too small, possibly from to big of a weld. The fix was to install a new vent. FLorida Marine Tanks sent us the new vent...

Can't fill fuel tank on 2015 2520 XLD

Final update : Adding the second vent completely solved the issue and now takes fuel without kicking off at the pump. Apparently it was determined that my original vent from factory was not allowing enough air to vent from tank to take fuel without kicking off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can't fill fuel tank on 2015 2520 XLD

My boat is an hour away at dealer, but the “T” is going to be right off the original vent elbow under the inspection hatch by your door. It’s a small space so you’ll “T” it right off the vent elbow. Basically cut the vent hose just far enough away from the elbow to leave room for Hose clamps and...

Can't fill fuel tank on 2015 2520 XLD

It’s just a hole to tank for venting. The vent hose runs up and T’s into the original vent hose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can't fill fuel tank on 2015 2520 XLD

FMC mailed us the new vent adaptor and dealer installed. They had to install a larger inspection plate to do the work. As you can see in the picture it is installed just like a fuel sender and FMC has insured me it should be leak free for the life of the boat. After reading Lucky Johns post...

Can't fill fuel tank on 2015 2520 XLD

Could u take a picture of the other fitting you are talking about. I don’t believe my 2017 232O has a third fitting. Just the welded vent and fuel fill elbows. My dealer is installing as we speak so may be too late for me, but I like your idea Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Best way to charge batteries ?

I would install an onboard battery charger and flush mount the outlet. The leads are always hooked up to the batteries. You just plug in your extension cord to the outlet. Much easier than manually hooking up to batteries. I leave my battery switch off, but I use an onboard waterproof charger (...

SERIOUS ISSUE'S WITH NEW REPOWER -SUZUKI 300/PARKER2320-

Hope it helps. I’m betting it’s just the transducer. Let us know how it goes after you get a chance to run it again. I’m super curious now !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

SERIOUS ISSUE'S WITH NEW REPOWER -SUZUKI 300/PARKER2320-

I wonder if it could be that transom mounted transducer causing just enough water disturbance to cause the engine to ventilate ? I recently saw a guy on Facebook ( NW Parker Owner’s ) complaining of exact same issue. Ended up being his transducer in same spot causing the problem. Just a thought...

Can't fill fuel tank on 2015 2520 XLD

Totally understand. I do the same thing, but stated capacity is less than the actual tank size. Stated capacity is tank size minus that extra 10 % the fill limit valve keeps you from filling. Totally speculating here, but what Im saying is you may already have that 179 gallons in the tank when...

Can't fill fuel tank on 2015 2520 XLD

If it’s just the last 20 gallons you have issues with, you might already be full and over-riding the ullage ( fill limit ) valve to get more in. The valve can still let fuel by if you trickle it, but it’s not advised. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can't fill fuel tank on 2015 2520 XLD

Just wanted to share an update. Me and my dealer had no luck figuring out the slow fueling issue. I finally called Florida Marine Tanks and they said to pull one screw out of the sender. This creates a perfect vent and helps determine if it is a venting issue or not. Well.... I pulled a screw...

    profish 700 windlass

I’ve had the same exact issue. My dealer mentioned it helps to have someone step on the metal lever to help it grip the splice a little better. Haven’t tried that yet, but I’ve chaffed mine pretty good trying to get it to go through. I’d be interested in hearing what others say... good question...

    Garmin help please

Your transducer choice really depends of what type of fishing you do. Might be easier to call a marine electronics company and they can really walk you through what’s best for your type of fishing. I’m sure there are plenty of great resources back east like BOE Marine or something. Companies...
