    2013 23se

I am very close to closing the deal on a new 23se. The boat will have a T-top, custom leaning post and be powered by a 225hp 4.2 offshore motor with fly by wire controls. No trailer. The price is 54k. I would like to know if this is a fair price for this boat.

    Degree of entry

The 200 hp 4 cylinder is $1500 less than the 6 cylinder 200 hp. I believe that the 3.3 liter motors are being phased out. If thats the case the only the only higher power option will be the 4 liter offshore models.

Windknot, Starling Marine is steering me towards the new 200 hp 4 cyl. Do you have any thoughts on this combination?

    2011 21se depreciation

I am thinking of trading up to a 23se. My boat with Lowrance HDS8 and Icom vhf was 38k new. The boat has approx. 175 hours on it and is in perfect shape. Recently detailed and stored in a dry stack. What should I be able to get for her?

Thinking about the new 225 hp offshore with digital controls.

    Degree of entry

I always read about the degree of deadrise in various hulls, Parkers included. Some manufactures give the degree of entry and even the deadrise mid hull but not Parker. I have a 21se and I'm curious if anyone knows the specs for this hull and the 23se hull as well. Newer models. How much better...

    Rust

To update. I spoke with Eric from Parker. He confirmed the use of 316 stainless steel, but pointed out that Its not the same quality of years past. He stated that it is manufactured oversees(China).

    Rust

I spoke to Eric from Parker. He thinks because they power wash the boat, that it may not remove all the salt. He said it may cause the salt to get into nooks and crannies and cause the rust. He is actually going over to my marina to take a look at a problem I'm having with the clips that hold up...

    Rust

My boat was purchased new in 2011. I had one cleat replaced by starling marine after 6 months of ownership.

    Rust

The boat is washed and dried before being dry stacked. Why the rust?

    Rust

I have been using collinite metal polish, but I still get rust on the cleats and swim platform. The dock hands at my marina tell me its typical for parkers to rust. They said Grady Whites use a higher grade stainless and do not have the problem. Can these parts be upgraded?

    Power pole on 21se

Thankyou. Do the Powerpoles put any stress on the transom. Will it leak?

    Power pole on 21se

Just looking for feedback. I am considering adding a shallow water anchor and want to know if it will be effective on this boat. Will I have any issues with my transom by doing this.

    2011 Parker 21se

Just to update this thread. My new 21se was delivered on schedule and my wife and I spent last week getting acquainted with the boat. We had a great week of weather and caught some False Albacore as well. I can say the boat was everything I expected and more. We had one day where the wind really...

    Parker 21se question

Craig, Thankyou very much for the offer to ride your boat. My wife and I were more than happy with the time Charles at Starling Marine provided us on the boat. It was a huge upgrade over the skiff. I keep my boat at Coral Bay in Moorehead,City. I almost exclusively flyfish and would not go much...

    Parker 21se question

I also needed to add that it was said that the deck and transom would rot. 5 years if trailered and 3 years if stored in the water. This person is a regular on the THT forums.
