    Yamaha and Garmin networking

However, if you have more than one MFD you can leave one set for navigation/auto pilot/radar all over printing on one screen and cycle through all the other screens on the other.

    FLIR on my 2520XLD

In the interest of safety I decided to add FLIR to my 2520. We go off shore (80+ Miles) and leave at 2:00 in the morning. Having the radar is a must; but, adding the FLIR has taken the pucker factor down a couple of notches.

    EPIRB mounting

I mounted my non-autorelease in the same spot as baker so I can grab it on the way out the door. The autorelease should be mounted on the roof of the pilot house in order for it to release clear of anything that could foul it. That being said, what was up is now down if the boat turtles. The...

    Wax applicator

I don't use the buffer for waxing. "Wax on, wax off" by hand. Compounding and polishing I use a wool pad on the buffer.

FYI I did go with black inserts. You can see the rocket launcher up top and in the foreground the three rod holders I mounted inside the transom.

The pie plates pry out. The center 1/3 of your deck is different than my 2520. It may have to be cut out.

I spoke with the dealer yesterday. I was told the last part needed should be here Monday and I would be up and running next week.

    2018 Yamaha F200XCA Exhaust Corrosion

Yes both of my engines made oil. Both at an equal rate which diminished over time to a very little amount. I never let them go above the full line on the dipstick. I have it all documented in oil analysis from Blackstone Labs. What helped the most was filling to 1/4-1/3 on the dipstick with...

    2018 Yamaha F200XCA Exhaust Corrosion

I would think the warmth in the engine when I put the cover on would dry the air. It would most certainly be less water than rain considering the amount we have had this year. also the cowling cover covers the above water exhaust port. the main exhaust through the prop stays open. My lower...

    2018 Yamaha F200XCA Exhaust Corrosion

I'm with you on wanting to know what happened. I have the left engine to worry about also. The dealership mechanic said he doesn't know why it happened. There was no sign of overheating. He also said , he had never seen this on a 200. I guess my engine was put together on a Monday morning...
