I will add that I have the type of cap that covers the whole fixture, vs the cap sitting down into the cavity.

Pull the cap, then put a bead around the uppermost inner rim of the base. Center it well and snap it down. Lifeseal has a silicone component to it, pretty cool to work with. Pop it back up after a day or two and see how it sealed, for your confidence in the method. Also, just push the plug...

Napa can probably make them, but aside from that, "glue" them down with white lifeseal. They come up with only slightly more effort, and the bead of lifeseal peels off almost in one piece. Do what you need to do and reseal them. Of course replace the "O" rings too.
