    Parker News Release Nov 2020

The value of pre-2020 Parker boats just increased. This isn't good news for Parker boats

Parker 23 DVCC - Overall Impressions

So I've owned a bunch of different boats and ridden more. But I want to focus here just on the 23-25ft class since that seems to be a very popular size for the working-man with a small family. And Parker boats are central in this mix. Parker has a great reputation of building strong yet...

    Government upgrade to boats

On the Government boats, Parker embeds a GPS tracking device into the 2nd layer of the wood transom. That's about the only way you can tell if the boat was built to NSA standards. Ed Snowden had one of these boats while living in northern Virginia. You could always tell when he was coming...

    For Sale Draft Dodger

It's a bow dodger. Different than a draft dodger and a Brooklyn dodger and an LA dodger.

    Government upgrade to boats

The "government" and "commercial" grade boats often do have more glass but also do not have floatation foam hence the reason not available to general, recreational consumers.

    Parker 2320 question

That could be anything from a critter-turd to some left-over material from the construction process that is just now working it's way out. Or it could be the beginning of some wood rot. But I would lean towards it being something other than stringer/floor rot unless you have something else...

    Parker 2320 (225 vs 250 vs 300)

https://www.thehulltruth.com/dockside-chat/1117060-why-boats-alaska-underpowered.html The OP might find something germane within this conversation.

    Parker 2320 (225 vs 250 vs 300)

The answer that question will need to first determine how you plan on using the boat. How far offshore? How many people? How big of a livewell? How fast do you like to run? I've fished the waters of Monterrey Bay and know that you can be 1/2 mile offshore and in several thousand feet of...

    Installing a 36v 72 in. Minn Kota on a 2300 with a pulpit

I'd install it on the transom especially with a 72" motor 72" won't be long enough on a 23. Mount it directly to the motor bracket platform.

Want to add T-top to 23se

The leaning post was built by a local guy in SW Florida. I paid $1,000 for it including the 2 cushions. Mashall Welding can easily recreate anything you want. You'll need to take him the boat (leave it for a week) and a picture/drawing of what you want.

Want to add T-top to 23se

Here's a partial view of a custom leaning post and t-top I had built 2 years ago. I used 2" main legs and a 1" grab rail all around. Paid $3500 for just the top. On the Eastern Shore, try Marshall’s Welding & Fabrication in Crisfield

Anyone Running a newer 25 SE?

FYI - The OP of this thread purchased a 25 SE about 18 months ago. He has a Suzuki 350 on it with about 1,000 hours on it already.

Want to add T-top to 23se

Without question, get one custom built for the boat/console. It will cost $3-4K and will make your boat look very professional. If you buy one of the Stryker t-tops, it will look unprofessional and depreciate the value of the boat.

    2520 xld deck hatch replacement

None of the aluminum hatch manufacturers will offer a direct "drop-in" replacment to the plastic hatches. There will be some deck cutting albeit minor.

2003 2300 Center Console 155 gallon fuel tank leaking

Yes, the anchor locker drains into that compartment (sort of). There is a false-floor already fiberglassed in place inside that compartment so no water hits any gear you have stored inside. Plus that compartment already has a drain installed going from the false floor to the true bilge.

2003 2300 Center Console 155 gallon fuel tank leaking

Same boat. I have the 23 DVCC. Here's a broader photo to help put everything in perspective (the hatch is right in front of the console). I have a 250 quart custom-built cooler up-front and between the seats. In the 2nd photo, the aluminum hatch had not yet been installed.

2003 2300 Center Console 155 gallon fuel tank leaking

While you have everything apart, kindly be aware that there is a huge, un-used storage area below the deck...... in front of the console ...... and in front of the gas tank. I think it measures 60" long, 29" wide (between the stringers) and 16-18" deep. You can store 5-gallon buckets under...

    2520 xld deck hatch replacement

One of the flaws of Parker boats (all boats have flaws, and Parker has very few) are the plastic deck hatches installed over the bilge access. These are rather large plastic covers. And they flex. And as they flex, the screw are slightly pulled and eventually the threads on the screw will...

    Finally got that 2300

Having owned and ridden-upon just about every hull that Parker makes, the 2300 (23 Deep Vee) is the nicest one they make. Dry. Easy riding. Fuel efficient. Stable. Seaworthy. And she "looks" good.
