    Repower 2015 2520 XLD

The ones that are coming have been ordered months ago. I am thinking my only hope is that the Yamaha that was ordered in June shows up by April, but no confident about anything these days

    Repower 2015 2520 XLD

I called Thornes and they told me they are hanging engines that were ordered last Jan. Atlantic , I am waiting for them to call me back, but not optimistic at this point

    Repower 2015 2520 XLD

I go offshore a lot for tuna, I can't afford to do it with a questionable engine. In this market now there is hardly anything to be found even at inflated prices. With a new engine already ordered I wouldn't want to invest in a power head it would be too costly.

    Repower 2015 2520 XLD

Been on the phone all week trying to find something. Mercury, same story as other 6-8 months possibly a year, same with Suzuki but I did come upon a dual prop 300 in Florida. The engine with all the controls and 2 props was 34 plus tax, add shipping to an authorized dealer in NJ with rigging is...

    Repower 2015 2520 XLD

Well sad to say my F300 UCA blew up 2 days ago. I had already ordered a new one but Yamaha is so screwed up now no one knows anything. Engine was supposed to be here Sept 15th.Searched all over the country and seems 6-8 month and possibly a year for a new engine to arrive. I had 2175 hours on...

Any wisdom on reducing the pounding?

I added a pair of Pro Pedestals in the spring after 6 seasons on my 2520 xld. It has helped take that jolt when coming down on a good chop. I feel the best way to ease the pain is learning how to trim your boat properly and probably pulling back your throttle to adjust to sea conditions

    Can’t buy a new Parker

I am happy you got lucky with them, but for a couple of friends they weren't so happy

    Can’t buy a new Parker

NJ Outboards are FOS. They are like used car salesmen. They also have some of the worst riggers working for them. I know people that have bought from them and anyone who had anything installed by them had several issues, then good luck trying to get them to fix or correct it. I would never buy a...

    2520 XL Forward Bilge

My rear bilge has been dry for 7 seasons. The only time water goes back there is when at a extreme angle when going on or off a trailer. The forward bilge always has some water in it. I feel they didn't wire the forward bilge correctly either as the only time it will come on is if I turn on the...

    2520 XL Forward Bilge

I had the same issue with my 2015 2520 xld. I had my dealer come and they did the same thing with the scope and flexible rod. He left the rod in the tube if I needed to clear it. When I had called Parker back then they told me the forward bilge was the lowest point in the boat and there would...

How do you keep the front windshield open?

Cecil Marine online store has replacement knobs.

    Hardware staining and rust

I have a 2015 and think I have replaced just about every screw/bolt in the boat that had the white coating on top. Haven't had any issues with cleats or rod holders etc, just those darn screws

Removing Old Parker Decal and Pin Stripes

All you need is a heat gun an new razor, it will peel right off. Mark some points if you are replacing the decals. Anything else just use some cleaner wax, pretty simple and straight forward

    Should I buy this prop?

I put a similar Power Tech on my 2520 xld, it got me on plane faster and hold at lower rpm, small improvement on fuel and as mentioned lost 2-3 mph on the top end.

looking for a better prop for my yamaha 300

After the first season with the Yamaha SS saltwater prop I called Prop Gods in Florida and they suggested a Power Tech with a little more pitch 4 blade prop. Lost a couple hundred RPM off the top but get up on plane faster and hold at lower speed. Small improvement on fuel burn as well. Give...

    BOAT/US-GEICO INSURANCE

Yes Progressive might be cheaper BUT if you make a claim you might not be happy. I had Progressive the first year I bought my 2015 2520XLD and must have hit something on the way out fishing and 2 weeks later when I hauled to do my lower gear oil I noticed a piece missing off my cavitation plate...

    2520 XLD

I have a 2015 with a single 300 and it has worked for me. Would love to have a pair of 200's or 250's but maintaining a single is enough work for me. I just finished my 6th season and have 1930 hours. I never got fuel numbers liked mentioned above, I would say on avg it is about 1.7, and that...
