Very doable on a 2320. Bait tank setup in the center with 3 or 4 guys fishing was our usual trip. The only time we fished from the bow was to follow the fish around the boat. It definitely can be done, but we just never needed to.

#1 Has anyone connected a Garmin 215 AIS radio (or similar) to a Digital Antenna 529 antenna and can give an insight on whether they work well together? Ideal would be to have a dedicated antenna for VHF and one for AIS. The 215 only has one antenna port.

That's my same question. Everything I have read says that you can kill the outboard(s) alternator. My batteries are due for replacement and I wanted to change at least the house battery to lithium. I haven't found yet a good solution/protection for the alternator to make this work.

Anyone have thoughts on replacing with Lithium batteries. Initial cost is high but longevity, cycles, discharge, and size & weight are pluses.
