I'm guessing the (28500) in the title is the price?

    Planning Speed/RPM 1801

One issue that became apparent after my repower was the integrity of the steering assembly. At right around 10 hours my steering cable broke. I credit that to the extra torque of the new motor exposing the weak cable. Fortunately, it broke as I was coming off plane. Replaced with a Teleflex...

    Planning Speed/RPM 1801

I'm running a Suzuki 140 with the 14 X 21 stock aluminum prop. This set up tops out at 6000 rpm. It will feel weird slogging around at 2000 rpm for sure.

    Planning Speed/RPM 1801

I don't think that will happen. My break in limited me to 3000rpm and I couldn't quite get on plane...I needed around 3400. But...I do not have tabs. I still think it's a stretch even with tabs.

    Trolling motor for 1801?

You won't regret the Ulterra, I can't see myself without it now. I've got 2 TM batteries in the console and 2 in the back and that works fine. Just keep the entire TM wiring separate from everything else, disconnect it when charging and you should be fine. Lots of help on here when you get at it.

    1801 Fuel Line Replacement?

I repowered with a Suzuki 140 last year and I did replace my fuel line. Its not very difficult. Removed the hose at the tank, insert a barbed coupling, attach the new hose, clamp the ends and pulled the new one through while pulling the old one out. I also replaced the fuel/water separator...

Thanks for that...I guess when I was looking for one last year I should have just started here! :)

    Trolling motor for 1801?

I Agree 100% on this! Mine stays on the console tilted up, almost never around my neck. I believe they make mounts for some of these but I can't find one for the MK i-Pilot remote.

    Trolling motor for 1801?

Bought my Ulterra in Sept. of 2020, received in April of 2021 and have had no issues at all. Didn't like the thought of reaching out across the bow platform to manually lift the TM, it seemed like a 4am back injury waiting to happen, so I went with the auto deploy. I called MK before buying and...

    Trolling motor for 1801?

Well that narrows it down to one... MK Ulterra. Most of the 1800/1801's are using an 80 lb/24V/60 in shaft or longer. Regarding the bow rail, someone with that style rail can chime in.

    My Boston Based 1801

Do you have a live-well? Or not much of a fisher? Either way, nice job on the rework. You got a lot of years left on that one.

1801 vs Sea Hunt 186, all things being "equal"

Wow...that is alot of deck demo. Was that planned or was it all bad that needed to come out? Great pics...nice to see the bones.

    97 Parker 1800

I don't think there's much difference at all. Some others here may know a little more detail but I think its basically the same hull..

    Cracked Tower Follow Up

Yeah not cosmetic perfection, but that gusset will make up for a lot of it. That simple change may get you by for a long time. I've seen ugly welds on a well-designed joint far outlast the prettiest welds on a bad design.
