What Wax/ Sealers/coatings do you guys use?

corded , but this is what I use for tight areas with 1 1/2 to 3 " pads of your choice. variable speed trigger control and the angle head make it good for tight areas. https://www.harborfreight.com/35-amp-38-in-variable-speed-close-quarters-drill-57148.html

First impressions of my repower with Suzuki

Maybe this is a subject for another thread, but I would like to know more. I also have some pretty bad harmonics/ drone w/ my 300 uca. Am I understanding correctly that you put something inside the bracket cavity itself? What was it and how did do that as I only have a medium size inspection...

    Parker 2520 XLD repower

I have the single 300 yamaha on a 2025 xld and propped down it does the job well as long as the boat is not heavily loaded in the stern. My choice , if I were to repower would be the 350 suzi dual prop. The gear ratio on all the rest are to high to swing enough prop for the 2520 xld.

    Anti siphon valve question

agreed, unless there is a o-ring of some type it's pipe thread. That being said I have had miss matched npt fittings more than once . if there is any leftover pipe dope in the threads a pipe tap for the female or a wire wheel for the male can also be necessary . I have had to tap the female...

    Anti siphon valve question

I also considered removal until I realized IF the fuel line or any thing else fails downstream siphoning lots of fuel is very possible. IF the boat burns from this will the insurance company pay? So I pulled mine out and inspected it which was easier than expected . It was clean and a quality...

    Fuel consumption

Thanks. It's interesting because my MPG stays the same from 25 -33 mph at 5400 . Although the motor sucks up the fuel at top end the hull rides so much higher / cleaner the mileage stays the same . I am propped way down to try and stay on plane at lower speed needed here . With the 13 pitch I...

    Fuel consumption

Does the mileage get worse at slower speeds? My XLD is lousy below 25 mph , 1.4-1.5 but it is the deep v .

    Fuel consumption

I hope the injector tune up does the trick , please let us know. My son in law just did the same on a 150hp yamaha and it runs like new now. Still not sure what caused the issue but all good now. Good luck!

    Fuel consumption

I always question the calibration and or accuracy of any of these onboard fuel flow sensors . It seems difficult to compare apples to apples when there are so many variables . Are you all using the same gauge? Are the gauges using GPS or pitot tube as a speed source? Do you have the same tabs...

    Anybody have 12 x 24 trim tabs on a 2520xld ?

Unfortunately I will need to move the rams unless having the ram off center on the tab is ok , which I doubt. The rams themselves are the same model for all the sizes I am looking at so I can reuse them. As is the outboard edge of the tab is at the chine so I don't think i can go out any more...

    Anybody have 12 x 24 trim tabs on a 2520xld ?

Thanks Andy and agreed. I have the same tabs you describe now on my 2012. Never did really understand why they are shaped like they are. Although my single 300 yamaha keeps the stern lighter than some other 2520xld's it always feels stern heavy and out of balance compared to older models w/...

    Anybody have 12 x 24 trim tabs on a 2520xld ?

So I have put off the tab upgrade long enough and I think I want to do the Lenco 12 x 24's but maybe that is overkill ? I have the stock? Lenco system and would use the control that exists w/ new blades and actuators. Anybody have this size now ? Any thoughts on Lenco in general?? Is bigger...

    Favorite cup holders?

That open style also allows anything but a tight fitting item to tip and slid out the side. With a 3.5 " id a 12oz can or water bottle is gone on the 1st swell , with a fat beer muff not so much. Just saying.

    Favorite cup holders?

quote: Does anyone have a bulkhead mount cupholder that actually works? I don't really care one way or the other about a gimbal mount. bulkhead mount being the key here. Lots of options for surface or holesaw mount , I have not found many and am still looking for reasonable bulkhead mount . I...
