    Permatrim - looking for feedback

Ken actually recommended that I try 15 pitch Mercury Enertia‘s over a four blade prop a couple of years ago. I would need the mercury hubs to reduce prop chatter. He steered me away from the bigger 4 blades. I think they are $750 each - ouch!

    Permatrim - looking for feedback

Good feedback! I wonder if they are more effective on twin engined hulls?

    Permatrim - looking for feedback

OK, I've read all the Permatrim threads on the board and ready to pull the trigger. I have hesitated because of drilling holes in each of my LU's. Like others, I'd like to lower my planning speed, especially into a choppy head-sea for a smoother ride. DV 2510 WA (bracket) with twin Yam 150's...

    Question about Parker Boats

The long-time plant manager retired last year but I bet many of the old guard employees are still there. Supply chain issues with parts are affecting boat builders for sure. Right now you are probably OK but future quality is anyone’s guess. Having said all that, I‘m glad I have a prime...

    What's better for 2820: Twin 150 or 300/350 duoprop?

    I have twin 150s on a 2510 and it’s enough. Moving up to a 2820, can’t imagine 150s would be enough - I would be thinking twin 300s.

    Plumbed porta potty

Are you saying you can’t discharge the waste overboard? Why not just try it for a while before ripping it out. Or call Parker or the manufacturer directly (you’d be surprised how helpful they can be) for help. Dealers can be clueless.

    Drain plug stuck, help

Try Teflon tape next time. You don’t need much. Many dealers use this trick as well.

    Enclosure for a 2510

Great Lakes Skipper has OEM enclosures: Page 3 | Original Parker Boat Parts Online Catalog If not, it’s not a big deal to get a canvas shop to do it. I redid mine last year using the existing canvas but replacing the isinglass.

The Parker Lineup is Now Dead

My Parker dealer told me earlier this year that Linwood’s last design was the 26H bay boat which was fully composite. And they whacked that model after only 2 years. Strange that the new 22 still uses wood. The website lists “fiberglass stringers” for the 22 but maybe still using wood for the...

The Parker Lineup is Now Dead

Looks like just the beginning of Parker knock-offs to come: “Scott Bauer, President of Parker Offshore stated, “The Parker 22CC is just the beginning of our new center console line-up. Our team is excited to present this boat that caters to both fishing and family boaters. No matter how you...

The Parker Lineup is Now Dead

Yep, they‘re gone from the website. Literally just happened since I saw them there a couple of days ago. I’m now the owner of a true “classic Parker”!

The Parker Lineup is Now Dead

They tilt more towards function kinda like a Parker, which is fine with me. The cabin is tall with big glass, maybe it throws off the lines? Hoping the 23 deep hull design gives a better ride. But it’s still going to take a lot to get me out of my 2510!

The Parker Lineup is Now Dead

Seriously looking at Northcoast boats out of Bristol, RI if I move up in size. Family business with the owner, wife and two sons all at the plant. Sound familiar? My local Parker dealer just added them which tells you something.

    Any drastic changes to Parker

The dealer actually said they are moving away from wood because of the cost increase. He had concerns about models weighing less without the wood structure. Also said the SH bay boat was the last model designed by Linwood, so its kinda of slap to now discontinue it. I hope they figure it out...

    Any drastic changes to Parker

Just stopped by my dealer for some parts and Parker has decided to stop production of all Walkarounds, the Dual console, the 26 SH and some of the MV models. These models are not selling well, supposedly. Dealer didn’t sound thrilled.

    New to the brotherhood.

I think twin 150s are sweet, sure twin 200 would be nice. But the 150s really put out about 165 and the torque is similar. Two props grabbing water helps the ride, and less draft vs a single. I get about 1.9 mpg at cruise. As a buyer, I would pass on this hull if it had a single.
