Smell Gas Fumes in Center Console

I just got done replacing the fuel fill hose and vent hose on my 2005 2510. I had a strong fuel smell immediately after I would refuel then it would dissipate after a day or two. It ended up being the fill hose that was cracked in about 10 different places.

    Hydraulic Steering Leak

Thanks ... I've got the O-rings on order. They don't look too easy to change, is there a technique for getting them out?

    Hydraulic Steering Leak

Thanks for the replies guys I appreciate it. I think I'll go ahead and install a seal repair kit since I have to open up the lines anyways to seal the threads, kinda like wearing a belt and suspenders. Does anyone know what kit I should order? A picture of the helm unit is below. Also, when...

    Hydraulic Steering Leak

It appears I have a fluid leak on the backside of my helm unit where the hoses hoses thread on. I noticed a minor amount of fluid running down the helm this summer. Somewhat concerned I tilted back the helm station and found a fair amount of fluid had leaked all over the wiring etc. around the...

    2005 2510 Fuel Fill Line

It is a 2005 that I bought used earlier this season. I don't know for sure but I think this is the original fuel hose.

    2005 2510 Fuel Fill Line

I was able to get the line changed on Friday. The vent line was fine it was definitely the fill line. Check out the cracks in the photo below it was in terrible shape. There were two areas similar to the one shown in the photo. I'll post more detailed photos and a procedure later. Thanks...

    Seat Bubble Marks

Does anyone know what may have been mounted to the floor of my 2510 in this picture? I moved the seat bubble and found these four old marks on the deck. They are about 4 inches in diameter and each one has 3 screw holes. I'm just curious.

    Livewell Seat Cushion Velcro Strips

Hi Pelagic. It is that time of year to start attacking my off season repairs. Do you still have the extra velcro strips?

    2005 2510 Fuel Fill Line

I think I need to get this whole port side panel out of the way to get good access to the bottom side of the fill line. Does anyone know how to get it out? I thought it just screwed but it feels like there are nuts on the backside of what look like wood screws from the front side. Are they...

    2005 2510 Fuel Fill Line

I'm replacing my fuel fill and vent lines on my 2510 this off-season and am doing some research on our forum. I notice a strong fuel odor every time I refuel that dissipates in a day or two; I'm pretty sure I have a line problem. I've seen a few articles on doing this job on the center...

    25 modified vee with twins.

I am on Lake Erie out of Cleveland and rarely is it calm enough to run wide open. We troll most of the time so I like to open it up for a little bit on the run back if sea conditions permit to burn off a little carbon. But that’s about it.

Proper Trim Tab Bolts and Anodes

Thanks for the advice Warthog5, I'll get some of the magnesium type on order and change them out this off season.

Proper Trim Tab Bolts and Anodes

Thanks Andy for the reply. Yes I keep it in the water all summer long. That being the case I'll keep them on but cut the bolt length down.

Proper Trim Tab Bolts and Anodes

The previous owner of this boat used some pretty long bolts to attach the anodes. It doesn't look right to me. Any advice on what should have been used? Also, the previous owner was in saltwater whereas I'm in freshwater, do I even really need anodes on my tabs? I don't recall seeing them on...

Pros and cons of 2810 parker

I moved from a year 2003 2300 with a single Yamaha 225 to a year 2005 2510 with twin 225's and love it. There is a ton more room in the cockpit for trolling which is what we do the most of up here on Lake Erie. Also room in the cabin for safely storing gear. It is a much heavier rig and...

    25 modified vee with twins.

I have a similar hull; a 2005 Parker 2510 DVWA and am running twin 225's on the 3'rd hole, no permatrims, 4 blade props. Not sure what size the props are. I just purchased the boat this summer so I'm still fine tuning but so far I'm at the following. I think there some room for improvement...

    2005 2510 Anchor Light Location

I took a couple of pictures of an empty bracket on the rocket launcher on the rear of the hardtop. Is that where the anchor light mounts if you don't have a radar?

    Livewell Seat Cushion Velcro Strips

The loop half sewn to the seat cushion is okay. It is the hook half with the plastic back that is worn out. I didn't measure them but they must be 3 inchers. I need four pieces total. You want to sell your extras?

    Livewell Seat Cushion Velcro Strips

The 15 year old velcro strips that hold the seat cushions in place atop my livewells are no longer working well. Any ideas on how to remedy? Has anyone tried replacing them with snaps?
