How do I synchronize my compass reading to the GPS ?

...not to mention the effects of current and wind. Most small boats have the compass surrounded w/electronics. More problems. GPS costantly recalculates correct heading, so what if we're 5 degreres off. That's closer than I can steer in most seas anyway. No one asked, but my advise would be...

Help Select and Rig a 23DVCC, Part II.

Yes, the 25DV CC, W/A, and cabin boat all have the same hull. All hulls pound or slam as water gets rougher. The rule of thumb when comparing two hulls of the same deadrise, the narrower hull will ride smoother in rougher seas. If your dealer has both 23 and 25, why not try out on a rough...

    almost a new owner

I used to run an 18 Parker 25 miles out in open Atlantic on a regular basis. Sometimes had 3 plus me, full 30 gallon livewell, fuel, ice etc. Boat had 115-2 Yamaha. Difference was I had large trim tabs. Don't remember prop, boat ran very close to 40 with T-Top. Rather than change props...

    2310 FUEL BURN #S

The 23 W/A is a great boat. Not too sure one can tell the difference in boat weights (W/A is 188#'s heavier). Your dealer should be able to get a performance bulletin for your choice from Parker. All bulletins are not at the Yamaha site. The 23 W/A provides a great open air helm, you're...

23DV: 12x24 Tabs vs. Permatrim/Side by Side Comparison

How much top end speed did the permatrim scrub off? From my experience w/23DVCC in SE NC, we are constantly trimming left and right for people moving around in boat, can't do with any of the "add-on" fins. Ever have to run a course perpendicular to wind for an hour or so? Boat requires...

installing fishfinder and running the transducer cable

BACK AWAY FROM THE DRILL :D You can get an Airmar thru hull transducer instead of adding on back of transom. If interested, search CP, plenty of info. As far as wiring, no boat is easier than Parker to rig. Pull up cover over gas tank sending unit, remove four screws and lift boot in...

The Bomb hooked up w/Angler? What's the saying... "If you sleep with dogs you get E-Ticks"?

    Yamaha releases their 300hp 4-stroke ...

There's a group of naysayers who seem to find fault with everything Yamaha does. Too heavy, too many cylinders, high octane, low octane, too slow, wrong gears in foot, wrong alternator, wrong power steering, blah, blah. The managements at Regulator, Parker, Grady, Pursuit, Contender, don't...

Bombardier unleashes their 300hp OB, a svelte 524 pounds!

Great! Can't wait to see one (or two) rigged on one of the Bomb's marketing partners, Carolina Skiff or maybe even a SeaFox. 8)
