    Vintage Parker?

Some people bird watch. Others collect mushrooms. Do our wives know what we do? Quick.. Quick... ge the camera.... gotta get pictures of this one to post on the internet. Can you say "disease"? Yesterday morning I spotted this on the highway and didn't have my camera. In the evening at...

    More Black Drum

Thanks: The secret to black drum fishing: find other boats doing the same thing and put clams on hooks and keep them on the bottom. Reel in big fish. Now you know! Here is another fish. This one was good eating size at 45 inches and about 50 lbs. Monte and I had fun making Sam do all...

    Parker 2520 MV Prop?

I'm about ready to buy my another prop or have my current one modified. I currently run a Rev 4 with a 15 pitch but what would make it perfect is either a 16 or 17 inch pitch. I really like the REV 4 performance and hole shot but at my favorite cruising speed I'd like to bring my RPMS down...

    Where to mount EPERB?

I keep mine in a ditch bag. I spent some time looking around for a decent place to mount it and decided overal it would be best in a a bag. If you come up with the perfect spot let me know. Richard

Full Moon Fishing Good or Bad? I never know. I work on the premise of fish when you can so we did. The original plan was to get yard work done Monday and fish Tuesday but yesterday I decided Tuesday was going to be wet (I could be a weatherman!) so after the yard was cut work stopped! Karen...

My latest expensive project (Tabs): A frustrating ordeal

Interesting..... I've never thought about the "disturbed water". I have the 30 X9 Bennet tabs and there is definately a different flow of water and spray with significant deployment, but judging by all other performance parameters.... speed, rpm, mpg readouts.... I never felt there was an...

Mod v or Deep V for Chesapeake

Bow down means no slap or pounding. I ride with NO SLAP!!!!! No pounding unless I'm caught going too fast or without enough tabs.

Mod v or Deep V for Chesapeake

The only way to know for sure "how much better" the DV is will be to compare the two. There is no doubt it will be noticeable. It would be safe to say that the 2520XL in a 15 mph wind with the water just starting to white cap you will not want to go over 20. (now the boat will fly through that...

As long as you have most of your fingers you should be OK.

Mod v or Deep V for Chesapeake

There will be lots of thoughts and comments. This is just one. Love the boat... but I'm biased. You can master the chop with the rig mentioned but it will require limiting speed. Bigger trim tabs are not required but they will help you master the chop. I could go on and on......but first...

    Cod Reels

Look at the Shimano Speedmaster and Torium models. They are probably very similar. I have a couple of the Torium and so far I like them. They will hold a ton of braid. Richard

    Eastern Shore Black Drum

It really is great..... I could serve this up at a fine restaurant (with a different name of course) and people would love it. Anyone growing up poor or frugal on the Eastern Shore would know all about it. All those drum heads... and rockfish heads that get tosed in the dumpster is such a huge...

    Eastern Shore Black Drum

I'll have to check my notes and see when we started catching cobia last year. I want to say right around June 1st is when they start to show....by June 15 we were into them and on 3 days straight we caught them. They hang around well through the summer.... Once you hang a cobia over 50 lbs...
