    Lenco Trim Tabs

Thanks Megabyte, I'm going to head back over to the marina in a few and figure out what I need. I'll let you know. Still in the three year warranty period, so if its a real problem, hopefully Lenco will step up!

    Lenco Trim Tabs

Hey guys, I'm down on the Outer Banks and fished today around the Oregon Inlet bridge and the Mann's harbor bridge as well. The ocean was pretty slow, so we stayed in. On the way back in my stock trim tabs on my 2310 quit working. Both are out and not making a sound, totally dead. By the...

    Trailer light replacement

Great guidance everyone, thanks for your help. I'll be splicing away tomorrow getting ready for a run down to the Outer Banks on Tuesday. Really appreciate the advice.

    Trailer light replacement

Pulled the tail lights off my trailer this evening and they are shot! Rusted up mess... I really like the replacement waterproof LED tailights, but need some advice on making the wiring connections to the new fixtures waterproof. Any ideas on the best connectors/methods? Thanks!

    Maintenance

Dale, thanks and you are correct, it's just a small single lever. I've trailered countless miles on it, but have already ordered a m-ywedge. great product, and thanks for the tip. The forum is a tremendous help to all of us rookies. Appreciate your help.

How do you hold it in there?

    Maintenance

Agreed, thanks for the responses guys! Actually bought a set of the muffs that feed from both sides just today so I can warm the motor up just prior to doing an oil change. Another question for you. When you trailer your 25 do you tilt the motor up and then rest it on the tilt support lever...

    Windlass?

Anybody have any experience with Powerwinch Windlasses? Specifically I'm looking at the Powerwinch Class 31 for my Parker 2310 WA.

    Maintenance

So I was talking to an outboard dealer today who said it's fine to run your 225 four stroke at idle for limited amounts of time just hooking up a hose to the flush hose hook-up on the side of the motor. Thoughts?

trailer guide post for 23 ft parker sport cabin

HyperStriper, we were talking about this subject just the other day. I have been having similar issues with loading my 23WA. Turns out I have been putting the trailer down to far into the water. What was suggested was to get her on the trailer within a few feet of all the way, and then pull...

    Trailering

thanks for the advice guys. Phil, I don't know if I could watch 60k worth of boat holding on by a bunk at the rear of the trailer, but that does deserve some thought.... Porkchunker, you're exactly right, I've been lowering my trailer down to far. Need to do it just the way you describe. Is...

    Trailering

Porkchunker, thanks for the info, I got it until you get to the part about unhooking the winch cable from the bow once you have let her slide down into the water? How do you get to it without going underwater? From the dock? Haven't had an electric winch on a boat trailer in years, but I seem...

    Tongue Weights

Isn't tongue weight also a function of how the boat sits on the trailer. I purchased my 2310 at Norfolk Marine and they did a horrible job of "balancing" the boat on the trailer. We got on the road and had lots of action as the boat sat to far back on the trailer and did not provide enough...

    Trailering

Ranger Tim, thanks for taking the time to reply. Some great ideas! I just wish I had the trailer buying experience to do over again, I would definitely go for a bunk style trailer. Hey, one other question, any problem with leaving her on the trailer through the winter months, four months max...

    Trailering

Anybody know how to deal with this issue - my 2310 sits on a roller trailler rather than a bunk trailer. When you go to launch, you can't release the bow eye-hook from the trailer cable before you back in as she would roll right off as soon as you got on the slope of the ramp. I usually...

    Clean up!

One more question for you, what do you guys do to "winterize" your outboard motor? Thanks.

    Clean up!

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the advice. I'll let you know how it goes and post some pics. Thanks again!

    Clean up!

I'm new to the site and need some advice. I have a Parker 2310, 2004 model with a Yamaha 225 4 stroke. I'm not new to boating, but I have never owned quite the boat the parker is, and I am relatively naive when it comes to boat care, etc. I guess you could say I'm a long term weekender when it...
