New Boat, Full Tank of Gas

The dealer was nice enough to fill my fuel and oil tank before I took my 2002 Parker 2120 home (only 108hrs). Would it be safe to assume he did not add ring free or startron. I am about to change out the filters, would it do any harm in adding my fuel treatment concoction, if it has already been...

    VHF radio install

I agree, and there is nothing worse then bangin the funny bone. My old Center Console, i had the mount down low, and I could never hear the damn thing. Im sure with the pilot house, it a bit easier, but I like having it up in clear view. The only part obscuring the vision is the mic cord, which...

    Anchor Size

West, Wow, 16ft! My 18CC had a 8lbs achor with maybe 5ft of chain, seemed to hold in the worst of it. My Parker is so heavy, and not very wind resistant. I am not sure how big an anchor I should get. What size is yours? I willd definetely put the longer chain on there. My poor son is going to...

    VHF radio install

Charlie, if you go with the roof mount, dont make the mistake like mine and mount the mic clip to the left like mine is. As soon as I remember to take my cordless drill to the boat, I will be moving mine to the right of the radio, so I dont have to stuff the wire up above the radio after every...

Furuno, Navionics, or C-Map NT Card?

Thanks Superboat5, Furuno doesnt carry these cards any longer from their webpage. I found a few webpages that have the Navionics and C-Maps, but I wasnt sure which one is better, etc.

    Anchor Size

Hi all, I need a new anchor for my 2120, I thought I would ask everyone's opinion on what size anchor they recommend. I fish the Long Island Sound which can whip up 2-4ft, and I want to make sure I choose wisely, as I know the Parker is a heavy craft. Thank you in advance!

    VHF radio install

Charlieroc, Here is a pic of my 2120. The radio is mounted to the roof. All of the wiring is run down the corner, behind the dash. I hope that helps.

Furuno, Navionics, or C-Map NT Card?

My beautiful lightly used Parker 2120 came with a Furuno GPS/Plotter/Sounder model GP-1650DF NT. Unfortunately it has the home waters of its past owner and I need the Long Island Sound. Does anyone have any advice to which on the the three cards that are avialable for this model, Furuno...

Is 150 HP enough for 2120 SC

I have read many posts on this subject, and many folks think the 150 is underpowered. Mine has a 150hp, at 5500RPM runs at 40MPH. I bought the boat to fish, not race, so this is plenty fast for me. We do get some rough weather in the Long Island Sound where I am from, and I never felt...
