    Power Tilt Activates Unexpectantly

Great wiring table, Dale. This weekend, I'll start tracing wires from the engine forward. Very much appreciated. -- Joe

    Power Tilt Activates Unexpectantly

I'm guessing this will wind up being a warranty repair, but if I can find the problem, I'd prefer to fix it myself. I'm running a '99 2110 with a '12 Yamaha 9.9 kicker hooked up to dual controls. Individual power tilt and trim switches for the main and the kicker, and one switch that operates...

    2110 Prop Reference

That's good info, Parkerman. I put the on Enertia 15P and ran it with different fuel loads over the course of 5 days last week. 2 of us on the boat. What a difference a prop makes! A steady 5300 RPM at WOT. Flirted with 5400. 37MPH. If I nail the throttle from a dead stop with 1/2 tank...

    2110 Prop Reference

That's my plan then... install the new prop and check the engine height while testing it.

    2110 Prop Reference

As a follow up to what initiated this thread (prop selection), I went ahead yesterday and ordered the Merc Enertia 15" X 15P as recommended by Ken at propgods, and then this morning I received the following reply from Parker: "The correct propeller for your boat would be a 13 ¾ x 17 black...

    2110 Prop Reference

This is what I have to address. That bottom bolt is at the bottom of the slot.

    2110 Prop Reference

I'll do that. From memory, the bolts on the bottom are flush with the bottom of the slots although I have 2 or 3 holes under the top bolts. I'll confirm that and take a pic. Thanks.

    2110 Prop Reference

Thanks for both replies. Ken at Propgods.com has recommended a 15P Enertia from Merc. Having no other specific suggestions, I will likely order that prop in the next couple of days knowing that I can always swap it for another. I expect to realize an improvement even if I make no other...

    2110 Prop Reference

I know this forum contains a lot of prop selection info, but it's a lot to navigate through. I'm hoping someone can point to a good reference for prop selection. I'm running a '99 2110 with a recently rebuilt Yamaha 175 SS II. After running her out on the lake, the guy that did the rebuild...

    OX66 or not?

I have the work out for a couple of other estimates. We'll see. If they're also cost prohibitive, I'll likely rebuild the carbs to correct whatever condition had that cylinder running hot, decarb it (why not?), and run her. Thanks.

    OX66 or not?

I think my best bet then is to just run her until she's had enough, and then repower. For the time being she runs strong. When she blows, I'll have the kicker to get me home, and then it will be time to shop for something new. Thanks to everyone for all your replies and advice. Happy...

    OX66 or not?

Got my 1st estimate. $7k. It essentially includes breaking it all down, honing all 6 cyl, boring the bad one to +.020, one new piston, all new bearings and associated hardware. Some things I don't need because they're already new or can do myself (i.e.. plugs, filters, fuel pumps), so those...

    OX66 or not?

I will contact the guy that originally diagnosed it, and price the rebuild and then shop it around some (unless anyone has a recommendation on a Yamaha tech up this way - Northern NJ). Thanks for all of your comments and suggestions.

    OX66 or not?

I'm assuming that I do have a cylinder problem. When I had a trolling motor installed, I had the Yamaha mechanic check out the main. He was the 1st to report the one cylinder with lower compression. He said that aluminum transfer was occurring on the cylinder wall and that once started it...

    OX66 or not?

Thanks for all of your replies and that chart. Now I know for sure it's not OX66 or an HPDI. The engine is carbed for sure. Fogged it just this past weekend. I will contact Andy/SIM as suggested. Seems like a good place to start. Regards.

    OX66 or not?

At the risk of sounding stupid... I've got a '99 (manufactured '98) 175 Yamaha SaltWater Series II on a 21SE. I have a problem where she sneezes and wants to cut out at idle, and also an occaisional issue where the RPMs drop when running hard. This last has occurred twice, both times in a...

    2110 Kicker Challenge

Thanks for the reply and the link, Brent. I see a note in one of the reviews about that rod not being compatible with hydrolic steering. I think that I will have to look at alternatives. I'm just surprised that the folks that install these engines don't have a ready made solution for...

    2110 Kicker Challenge

Hello all. I've recently upgraded to a '99 2110 with a Yamaha 175 SW Series II. As I spend a significant amount of water time trolling, and since I can't comfortably control the low end speed of the big main engine, I decided to install a kicker. I've always had one in the past and love the...

    New Plotter and Transom Transducer

This is my first legitimate post. Hope I'm not asking for too much here. I'm the new owner of a '99 2110. It has very little use and is close to immaculate. Close. It has 2 spots just above the rub rail that are damaged. Could be that the anchor was accidently banged against it. In any...
