    Parker sticker

What type of Parker sticker are you referring to? If you mean this type; (See below) then this type was supplied by the ClassicParker moderator when I became a 'Supporting Member'... I don't know if they still do it, as I have been a supporting member for many years, and only got the stickers once.

    1997 2520 Sport Cabin Modified V with a 200hp Mercury?

Here's another vote to go with a larger engine than 200 HP. A 300 on your 2520 mod would be a good fit. We have a 300 Yamaha on our 2520 (XLD, not Mod) and even then, when fully loaded, we have to run at higher rpm's to get on plane, and to maintain a good planning speed. I'd rather 'coast' an...

    Parker 2801 New Member

Hey Beachbum, welcome to Classic Parker... a 22 lb anchor, IMO, would be a minimum size for a 28' boat; In general, use the largest anchor you and your equipment can safely handle. I have a 22 lb Delta on our 2520, and will go larger with next change out. Also use as much chain as you can...

Hi Ruso, Yes a short, but very nice video! No boat looks better than a Parker under weigh! ☺... Good to see the twins have worked out. When the boat is sitting still, are the scuppers above the water-line, or does some water come in the stern through the scuppers?

    Rust on Trim Tab

Hi Ozdogg, firstly, the video you sent was super-helpful! And, from what I could see from the video, your diver is doing a great job taking care of your boat... I would not be concerned right now about the surface rust that the video shows on your tabs; I can assure you, there is no need to...

    Rust on Trim Tab

My guess is that the rust is from the 'hinge'/mounting bracket' and 'hinge-rod' in the hinge, because they are likely made of a mid-quality of stainless steel and not made of aluminum. Same as the rust we see on the stainless steel boarding ladder... It would not surprise me if your tabs are...

    Rust on Trim Tab

Is the diver changing the zincs, with the boat in the water? Just trying to help with 'brain-storming' at this point. Are they the original zincs from 2 years ago? Are you in salt water? When I kept boats, in the water, in salt water, I had to change the zincs (my last boat had 4 large zincs) at...

    Rust on Trim Tab

Trim tabs are mostly made of aluminum, and aluminum does not 'rust' so to speak, but can and does corrode. Electrolysis and/or galvanic corrosion is a common issue. It's why sacrificial 'zincs' (common name for a variety of sacrificial metal alloy anodes) are attached to underwater metal parts...

Transom fish box rod (holds lid open)

It's none of my business, but I wouldn't buy or install anything made by Taylor-Made. I've had serious issues with a number of their products, and had sometimes comical, yet disastrous 'service' from them on numerous occasions; some of the incidents talked about here at CP.... just an opinion...

Transom fish box rod (holds lid open)

According to this video, my strut 'IS' upside down!☺. The way it is shown in the video, is how Parker installed it at the factory (other than me adding bolts where Parker used screws on the upper bracket). I have not experienced the potential problems that the person in the video talked about...

Transom fish box rod (holds lid open)

Thanks! It took me awhile to find a place to store the rod-holders... I had the spring hatch holders on a previous boat; they worked good on some of the hatches but as you mentioned, on some they got bumped a lot and dropped the hatch on my head! ☺
