I have the same rig as you and when I had the 250 ox66 (I have repowered with a 300 Suzuki) I settled on the Mercury Enertia 16P. My rig is really heavy so you might be able to run the 17P.

That's normal for Seastar hydraulic steering systems and it is mentioned in the installation manual that comes with your system. I love my knob and wouldn't have a boat without one.

John, the fuel burn seems to drop about 1 gph per 100 rpm so if that holds true then the fuel burn at 4000 rpm would be right at 8 gph. I will try to check it at that speed my next trip. I have not asked other owners about it but I think it all depends on how much weight the motor is pushing...

I just checked the prop slip @5000 and the Mirage prop was .29, the 17 Zuke was .10

One other thing to note. On an 80 mile trip, .3 mpg better saves me $65 counting the Yamalube I don't burn and which I bought in bulk @ $15 per gal. Most of my trips saw 1.1 mpg with my old motor.
