Well I decarbed my 150hpdi on Monday and it brought my engine back to life. I removed the plugs and soaked the cylinders with quick tune and then sea foam and let it sit overnight. Brought it to the marina the next day and it fired right up. Engine smoked quite a bit at low rpm bit quickly cleared up with increased throttle. Engine idles much smoother and it has its torque back. I was going to use dunks but I didn't want to by the gas can and disconnect fuel lines on the river. Ran at wot and checked the plugs. They looked pretty good.

What the Dunk method does is also clean out all carb passages.

I tell you, to date I have been given, as 'junk motors', a lawn mower, snow blower, chain saw, weed whacker and $400 pressure washer ... that were all reborn to life by the appication and cleaning of Seafoam.
