Real nice fun vehicle, pratical and turns heads. Convertable. This truck was delivered 2 months ago from Texas. It has very little rust on the body panels and NONE on the frame. It has the very desirable optional rear bumper,a straight 6 motor, dana 44 rear, dana 30 front,T-18 single stick transfer case and a 3 speed manual transmission. This thing can climb a tree. It has a very nice set of black Cragar soft 8 with a very new set of Bridgestone Dueler Revo 2's, 31x15x10.5. I began the rewire process,I replaced and rewired the rear lights/housings for the running/signals/brake lights and the backup lights and the front headlights/running/directionals.The new fuse block is mounted and the engine and dash/gauges need to be done(in progress)utilizing an EZ-wiring universal Scout specific kit. The original rear seat is there and in mint condition. It will need a windshield. The cap(steel)is also included. I ahve already sourced a set of mint rust free doors and they are in the process of being POR-15. The interior has been rhinolined. You will be hard pressed to find one of these is this shape.Almost impossible in the northeast. Nice winter project.Serious inquiries call (917)539-2180

Awesome vehicles those IHC Scouts. The 800 series were bullet proof.

I used to own a '77 Scout II with a 304 V8 and a close ratio 4-speed.
It was a perfect beach buggy / surf fishing machine because the front and rear tracks were the same width.
The front tires would make tracks in the sand and the rears would just follow in that same track.

Photos and a geographic location would help with your sale.

Thanks for the bump, they really are cool vehicles, just getting rid of some toys to clear up some space.I tried posting pics but they are too big.Happens all the time.
Thanks,Jerry

Oh yeah, located in Nassau County ,Long Island,NY.
Also selling my 1966 Triumph TR4A IRS.

I had an old model 80 (actually three of them) that I built up into a single Baja rig back in the late 80's/early 90's. I plopped in a 327 with a 2-barrel rochester carb (economy and low-end torque), Chevy SM465 4-speed trans, Dana 18 twin-stick transfer case with roller bearing upgrade, Warn Overdrive, Custom Dana 44 front and rear with Power-Lok and 4.88 gears, Brass 4-core cross-flow radiator, custom springs, double shocks all around, and four custom stainless saddle tanks for fuel. In the lowest gear it had something like an 88:1 gear ratio.

Under the hood I had an AC compressor converted to an air compressor, plumbed to custom front & rear tube bumpers that acted as air tanks. I could refill four 36" tires in about 10 minutes and have air left over to run an impact wrench to pull all four of them off if I needed to.

I never ended up finishing the interior or painting the exterior - it was UGLY. But, it was the ultimate Baja rig, and I sure do miss it!

Always thought it would be fun to have one of the later larger ones with the 304 motor.

Good luck with the sale!

Sounds llike a fun ride. The 80 and 800 bodys are almost identical except the 80 had a fold down windshield. International started offering the 304 in the 800, my last 1970 800a had a 304. Then they offered the 396 in the scout II's. They are cool vehicles, not many left in the rusty northeast.
