2018 Parker 23SE instrument panel detached from dash due to failure of the epoxy on the screws. I have all of them off now and am ready to reattach. Plan is to use JB Weld for strength but would like anyone elses opinion that has had to deal with this. Epoxy also failed on front hatch support.20210808_192436.jpg20210808_192441.jpg20210808_192446.jpg20210808_192436.jpg20210808_192441.jpg

Obviously improper prep. Gellcoat has wax on it. Anytime a Weld mount is installed....Clean area with Iso Alcohol. Sand it... clean again with Iso Alcohol and use the proper weld mount epoxy. Weld Mount - Adhesive Fastening System at AT-6030 Acrylic Adhesive

On another subject in your pix......The use of Automotive connectors in a marine enviormennt....STOP doing that! Throw that Junk away.....Those are not even allowed in my shop. Step your game up.....Move to Crimp/Shrink connectors....They are cleaner, keep corrosion OUT of your wiring....[the ones you used do not.]

This is an old thread I realize, but if someone else encounters this, take a Dremel and cut a circumferential bevel inside each hole to provide a "tooth" for the epoxy to bite into and prevent pullout. IOW, each epoxy plug retaining the studs would have to overcome being pulled through a notch to come out of the hole. This is the same type technique you would use to bed a rifle action in a stock (on the stock side). You won't just rely on adhesion, but the mechanical lock. To do it right it needs to be pulled off and laid flat so the epoxy can gravity fill the holes completely. Or just find some ornamental or allen-head bolts and through bolt it.
I just bought a new leftover 2023 and was looking for a new dash panel so I can fit two 12" screens and ran across this.
