Had some time this evening and did some test fitting. I’m going to add a center support as well and a some detail work to finish it up. Undecided still whether to leave natural or have it powder coated. Yes that’s snow on the ground 😖

That rod rack looks great, I’m looking to do the same on my 2320. Did you have your windows powder coated or is the black finish stock from the factory?

Thank you. The windows are to the best of my knowledge factory black frames. They are showing their age and I’d like to replace all of them here at some point

That looks very nice. I think I would keep it natural? Powder coat is nice too though. I would go black if going that route.

I’ve considered black and have had some of our products finished with that but not sure it would match the boat. I’m considering a silver color (very similar to GM rims). Here is a picture with one of our rod trees in black. We tried a set with a clear coat and it turned out kinda odd looking and really darkened the natural finish.

I was thinking it would tie in with your canvas, logos etc that have some black plus black just goes with everything. Natural is somewhat maintenance free was my thinking. To be honest, 20 years ago had a bad experience with a Fourwinns aluminum windshield frame bubbling the powder coat only after a year. That’s influencing my thoughts, perhaps unjustifiably?

That’s a good point. Improper material prep can cause powder coating to lift. It’s generally not as big of a problem with freshwater vessels but saltwater can speed up the process (corrosion) much faster

Been a while since I’ve posted. Here are some pics of some updates this year.
