How does it go with the 300? I feel my 225 isn’t enough.

I think if you tweaked the engine height and prop and add a Permatrim, you would see about 3-4 mph faster at cruise (and top end) and improve your fuel economy by 10-15% as well.

My 23DVCC (same hull as here) runs a F250 3.3l with an Enertia ECO and cruises at 30-31mph at 4,000 rpm and sees 3.1 to 3.2 mpg while running in the river with a light to medium load. WOT is 6,000 rpm and 46-47mph.
