I have not seen very much information on this site about the 2501 center console. Maybe I'm searching for the wrong things.

I have a few projects I am working on to make my boat a little more user friendly for fishing offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. Things I am trying to accomplish are creating more storage, fixing problems, changing things that have more or less annoyed me since I got the boat, and make the boat more comfortable for the people fishing with me. I welcome any and all ideas, especially from those that have the 2501.

I have a large Yeti cooler that I have always kept in the back of the boat up against the transom. I recently moved it forward towards the back of the bait well. I have found that this leaves more room towards the back of the boat to fight fish and the cooler does not feel like it is in the way any more. I plan on having a new leaning post built with storage and a back rest on the back for the people sitting on the cooler to lean against instead of having to lean against the rocket launchers. I already have bean bags for a more comfortable ride for two passengers in the back. There are usually 4-6 people on the boat. I would also like to add a cooler/coffin box in the bow of the boat for more ice/fish storage.

I have to make repairs to a few cracks in my T-Top. While that work is being done I have a few things I want to change/add. I would like to add a few more rod holders, a mounting plate for a spot/search light to the front, a mesh bag to store life jackets (already have a T-Bag), and re-locate the anchor light (not sure why they put it in such a hard to reach place). I finally got around to installing a DPDT switch to separate the spreader lights today. It has always bugged me that they both (front and rear) had to be on at the same time. Now I can turn them both on or just the back. Also finally put an Edson power knob on the steering wheel.

Inside the console, there was a factory installed mesh divider that separated the wiring from the rest if the console. I think mine lasted about a year before the Velcro melted and started pulling off. Has anyone come up with a better way of protecting the wiring in the console from the rest of the console?

Sorry for the long initial post. Thanks for reading and if you have any thoughts or ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

WildCard... While the 25 CC is a unique boat, the DV hull is the same as the WA and SC models with the same deadrise.
Many of those systems translate directly to the MV hull as well.
Modifications that that you might want to make to the hull (and below deck) translate well between all of the models.
Modification items specific to the CC can be found on anything from the 18 to the 28, so the sky is the limit for you.

Read through the Project posts and ask questions.
Folks here are very helpful.
