2020 23SE Baitwell Issue

2 questions...

Boat is a 2020 23SE with the factory bait well.

1. my bait well is not functioning, it worked fine for the last 2 seasons but now when I power it on I do not hear the pump working and the on dash breaker trips 5-15 seconds after being flipped on. I cannot seem to identify anything obvious in the wiring to account for this issues. Anyone with similar issues?

2. Does anyone know what the second bait well switch on the dash is for/used for?

It sounds like the pump is jammed

If it is one of those sureflo piranhas, they are junk. They break frequently. The good thing is it easy to swap.

i wired the new one with a quick disconnect clip. Swap the cartridge and it is easy….I always carry a spare cartridge with me.

Btw I had the same problem you had it would run for a 10 seconds whine and then trip the breaker
