Hi Everyone!

In December I found a 2001, 2110DVWA here in San Diego, CA. I sold my original boat (sea pro 2100 bay boat) but kept my 2012 ProXS Optimax 175HP (Pro XS version actually 190HP) which has an Enertia 15" diameter x 15P prop. After doing work on the boat over the past weekends, finally ran the boat this past weekend wiht the Merc on it.

The old motor was a 2001 Yammy HPDI, 200HP with a 15P prop, if I remember correctly, WOT was 5500 and in the mid to upper thirties. near 1000 hours.

My new Merc motor on the parker sees 5450RPM at WOT, 38.1MPH. Best cruise is 22-25mph, 3MPG and 3850-4000RPM. This motor needs to be higher RPM at WOT, like 5650-5900, so need to step down in pitch. BUT, it seems that even lower HP motors on similar hulls are using a 15 pitch. I met a guy at the ramp on Sunday, 2120 with 150HP Merc FourStroke with a 15 x 15 prop.

Any feedback on your motor and prop pitch + WOT RPM on any other 21' parker hull would be helpful. I am wondering if I have a motor issue (all new fuel lines, filters, and service...otherwise seems to run perfect).

I have a 2120 with a 150 4s with a 14.5 x 15 stiletto prop. On calm days i can hit 38-39 mph 6k rpmwith 75gal gas, 2 adults with dive gear. Cruise speed is 27mph at 4300 rpm.

Great feedback, what mounting hole is your motor on, 2nd from top?

I just recently lifted it up 1 hole. Im now in the 3rd hole from the top and couldn't be happier. My next upgrade will be a permatrim to see what all the hype is about. Fyi i miss my optimax its one of the best motors ive owned i think they're underrated. Good luck

Thanks...as for third hole from the top, there are usually 4 mounting holes. Your upper motor mount bolts go through the hole which allows you to have two open holes ABOVE this point?

Got it!! That's puts your motor higher on the transom than I have mine...and would result in less drag and higher RPM!! Cool! Do you notice prop cavitation during turns? Do you keep the motor trimmed down? I ask because I emailed Parker and they said to keep it in the second hole down from the top, so one open above the bolt. Here's the email I got back when I asked about 2120/2110 motor placement.

"It should be the second hole down."

No cavitation at all during shap turns or offshore. The first thing i noticed when i raised my outboard was how much more responsive my engine trim was (almost as if i had added a hydrofoil). You will also gain about 150rpms. The hardest part of raising the outboard was removing the 5200. I had all bolts removed and my outboard was literally held to the boat with just 5200. You won't be disappointed
