Looking for a 2120 pilot house. Got two in mind, what do you think a good price on each is roughly?

2003 with a 2012 200 HPDi, new trailer. $30,000. Not sure if he’s flexible.

2008 with 2008 Yamaha F150. $33,000. Seems flexible.

I have a crappy old CC with a 2016 F200 with only 130 hours I may put on which ever boat I buy. Then put old engine on CC, and sell.

I’m guessing the f150 would bring a higher resale than a 200hpdi. Granted there are many variables but if the condition of each is similar and setup the “same” (electronics) id opt for the newer one myself. Personally the price (30k) seems a bit high/good market value and deals do come up periodically. Considering you have a good motor on hand I’d keep looking.

My knowledge of the HDPI's is the 200's were the best. Buddy ran an older set on a 26' Regulator, ran great but they liked to drink oil.

If I was in your position..........buy the 2008 put your 200 on it, sell the CC with the 150.

If that guy is negotiable for the same price you are pretty much getting a 5 year newer hull and gas tank under the deck.

The resale of the 08 with the F200 will be much better as well.

Found a 2320 for what appears to be a better deal than the two 2120's I found. 2006 with a 2013 f250 with 200 hours for $30k. Thoughts on that? If I wanted to go smaller sure I could find someone with a 2120 to trade right?

That’s a total steal unless it’s in horrible shape and even then it’s a good deal for the motor alone. Is it a 4.2L 250 or the older 3.3. If it’s a 4.2 then buy the 2320. I have a 2120 and love it but for that money and getting the closed transum and a little extra deck space it’s a no brainer. If a 4.2L, the motor new was in the $20K range.

Agreed, that is a good price

Think I’m going to pass on it. 1000 miles away, and would have to buy it site unseen. Gonna be patient and wait till I find one local for a steal I think.

If anyone is interested it’s on Facebook market place in Delaware listed at 32,000. Said he’d take $30k.

Can’t find it. For that price it’s worth a trip. That boat and motor should be in the $40’s

I’m good at finding steals. Boat is listed in market place and a Facebook group called “eastern shore boat trader”.

One option to consider would be hire a marine surveyor to look it over for you. Best $400 I ever spent. In fact I would never purchase another vessel without having a survey conducted. Most do not inspect the engine though and that would have to be done by a local dealer. This past January I drove 1100 miles (one way) to purchase my Parker. I certainly would never attempt that in January again. When I left NC it was 68 deg and raining .By the time I got home it was -10, needless to say i was trailering a block of ice.

Looked at another boat an hour ago I thought I wanted. Passed on it.

Just made a deal on the 2320. Sent a deposit. Buying site unseen lol. Buddy agreed to drive it from Delaware to me in Florida for gas!

This boat doesn’t have the bench seat inside.

Would I be able to buy one? I assume it was removed at one point.

Going to trailer it 1000 miles, and advice besides a bringing a spare? Would like to bring a hub, but wouldn’t have any clue what kind to bring...

Talk to the owner and find out the brand and model trailer it is (ask how many lugs per rim). When you get this information call the manufacturer and they will be able to tell you the bearing and seal part numbers. I would have spare bearings and seals with you as well as the tools needed to change them. I went a bit overboard perhaps but I carried a small generator and air compressor with me as well as a good floor jack. One option to consider as well is to take out a tow boat policy with the trailer rider. This would give you road side assistance during the transfer.

Saw that one, he has it listed on here too. Hopefully I like this 2320 I’m buying. Seem to see people looking to upgrade from a 2120 to a 2320 a lot, never the other way around.

Was most interested in the 2120 at first cause the spot on the side of my house is tight, along with our neighborhood boat ramp. But since both have the same beam, that shouldn’t matter. Also was considering using my 2016 Yamaha 200 off my old CC.

If anyone needs a almost new F200 let me know!

So picking up the 2006 2320 with a 2013 yamaha 250 Sunday I believe.

When I asked about what numbers he gets with the engine, below is what he wrote:

"Wot on flat conditions I was seeing 40mph, not sure about burn didn't run to long. Ocean cruise around 20-22knts 1.2mpg"

Speed about what I was thinking, but 1.2mpg? If it is that bad, surprised he was honest about it. lol

Plowing along off plane at 20-22 knts is the most inefficient speed and probably where you will get the worst mpg. If you add a Permatrim to the motor you can probably stay on plane at that speed and get more than double that mpg. Overall that boat and motor combo should be a fairly efficient setup. Please let us know what kind of numbers you get when you test your new boat.

I have no doubt with some adjustments and perhaps a permatrim you will do much better than that. I’m over 2mpg with a 1994 hull powered by a 2004 225 Honda.

On Yamaha’s site I found the fuel chart for a 2010 2320 with a Yamaha 250, weighing 6100 as tested and it got 2.7mpg at 25.1 mph 3500 rmp burning 9.3 gph. So hope we’re closer to that than the 1.2mpg, if not will be taking my skiff out a lot still lol

Tried posting the pic but says to large everytime I ever tried posting a pic

Did you have the hull surveyed and moisture tests conducted?
